Aditya hails from Uttar Kannada, Karnataka. A former resident of Bengaluru, he had been pursuing chartered accountancy and had completed his articleship training with Vishnu Daya & Co., a firm of chartered accountants. He holds a B.Com in Accounts and Finance from IGNOU. He has worked in numerous fields such as accounts, audit, financial Analysis, taxation and corporate law. Having developed an interest in economic research and analysis, he expects to build a career in macroeconomics and capital markets. He has worked on subjects related to the growth of financial centres and the financial crisis of 2008. Influenced by history, he has been studying the patterns of trade and economic growth across centuries. Besides these interests, he is also a sport enthusiast and prides himself on being an athlete. An amateur cyclist, he takes this passion very seriously.
Aditya is an Electronics and Telecom engineer. He has interned at Intellect Bizware Services Pvt. Ltd. for a period of 4 months. He has also interned at Doordarshan Kendra (Prasar Bharti) for a span of two weeks. Apart from technical internships, he also has a one-year teaching experience in the subject of mathematics. Being a math lover, he is keenly interested in the data analytics field. Playing with numbers is one of his hobbies. In addition to the academic aspect, he is a sports lover and a good athlete. Participating in various college festivals, her unconventional internship, volunteering in an NGO coupled with her academics has contributed majorly to sharpen her multitasking skills. The span and width of the applications of Business Analytics intrigued her and developed a keen interest to pursue it further. Asher John is a B.Sc. Graduate in Statistics from D.G. Ruparel college, with an economics minor. With a concrete foundation in quantitative statistics, he aspires to build a career in data analytics and public policy. At Ruparel, he represented the college in numerous university and national level debates, including Times of India’s ‘Speak For India National Debate’. Among other laurels, Asher has won the A.D. Shroff Memorial elocutions and Mumbai University’s annual P.C. Alexander elocutions. He was an avid contributor to Ruparel College’s annual magazine Imprints, and was a member of the Rupela Poetry club. He also has an enduring interest in Western Philosophy and shares his opinions on philosophical, socio-political and economic matters through his blog. His interest in philosophy complements in better understanding of the ideological frameworks of various economic theories. A good-humoured guy, Asher has won various Stand-Up events across the city, including a Gold medal in mimicry at the University Youth Festival.
Ayan Sangra is a graduate in Economics from Amity University, Noida. His internship at Deloitte provided him with an opportunity to test his academic skills in the corporate world. Organizing and heading various National Conferences and debates during his undergraduate years has helped him in developing his leadership and organizational skills. He was awarded a certificate of merit for representing Amity University in outside events, an award given to only one student out of the entire batch, with a letter from the chairman of the University itself. He participated in various MUNs and debates in college, which enhanced his interpersonal skills. Apart from that he has cleared grade 4 in guitar as well as vocals from Trinity College, London. He also has an A2 level certification in French from the French Ministry of Education. He has played nationals in lawn tennis and has been a part of the school and college department basketball team. His immense passion for cars got him featured in the Autocar magazine as a participating driver in a track event organized by Autocar India at the BIC. He plans to continue this passion alongside his studies through his upcoming blog and YouTube channel.
Bharadwaj Patnaik holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Badruka College of Commerce & Arts, Hyderabad. Apart from academics, he was a part of the organizing & volunteering team of several of the college’s cultural fests. He has also well won many national level competitions at Tata Crucible, BITS, IITs, IIMs, etc., mainly in quizzes. After his graduation, he worked pro bono with Sai Sreenivasan Elders’ Home, an old age home in Hyderabad. He’s been an active member at K-Circle, India’s oldest quizzing club, where he was involved in the club’s PR activities. He has conducted quizzes at NLSIU Bengaluru, NIT Calicut, Hyderabad Public School, etc. to promote quizzing. He then went ahead to work with Lakshmi Vilas Bank as a Probationary Officer for a brief stint, and then was part of Amazon as a Transaction Risk Analyst for about a year. In addition to all of this, he is also a tennis fanatic, a cinephile, a voracious reader, and an avid writer.
Devesh Singh Solanki completed his engineering from NIT – Raipur in 2013. Since the early days in his profession, he has been fascinated with how a business functions – its structure, strategy, management & operations. In that pursuit, he joined ZS Associates pvt. Ltd., a leading sales and marketing consultancy, and worked for 3+ years as a Business Operations Associate Consultant, providing sales and marketing solutions to international pharmaceutical firms. In an endeavour to develop a deeper understanding of the main factors influencing business decisions beyond current operations, he is keen on delving into economics and corporate finance. He plans to marry his analytical training with a solid foundation in economics to be able to further his career as a strategist. Apart from academics, he has been an active debater and a dramatics performer at the intercollegiate level. He likes to read and follow stand-up comedy as hobbies.
A Bachelor of commerce graduate from Mithibai College with specialization in finance, Forum has pursued Chartered Accountancy along with her undergraduate studies to get in depth knowledge. She has worked as an articled trainee for 3 years with Chaturvedi & Shah and her major assignments were in Statutory and Tax audit with clients like Reliance Infrastructure and Jet Air. A curiosity to understand Economics and its application in corporate finance since undergraduate times coupled with an exposure to Chartered Accountancy and working with finance team at work makes her keen to learn and understand the inter-relationship between macroeconomics, policy decisions and financial markets. She has also worked as a freelance writer for websites to develop and sharpen her writing skills. In her leisure time, she travels, writes blogs and reads fiction. After completing her post-graduation course, she plans to pursue opportunities in Economic Research and application of economics in Financial Sectors.
A fresh graduate from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, Jasleen has completed her Bachelor’s in Arts with majors in Economics and Math. Being a liberal arts student has enabled her to develop a strong understanding of the complementarity of various subjects. She feels very strongly for gender related issues and served as an active member of the Women’s Development Cell, LSR for two years. She also worked on a term paper about Human Rights and Gender focussing on Female Genital Mutilation in particular. Krisha Mistry has completed her B.A in Economics from Ramnarian Ruia College of Arts and Science in the year 2017. Her electives have primarily been mathematics and statistics over the course of her B.A. She had volunteered as a French teacher at Sane Guruji English Medium School, Dadar for a year. She has worked as a freelance writer for Bookasone, an online travel portal for two months. She has also been a part of her college’s Literary Arts Team and the Career Guidance Cell. Along with Economics, music is something she has always been interested in and has completed five levels of classical music exams from Gandharva. Krishnav Roy is a graduate in Economics from Ramnarain Ruia College with Mathematics and Statistics minors. He has keen interests in behavioural economics as well as in data analytics. Throughout his school and college years, he has had diverse experiences with leadership roles and co-curricular activities. He has been a House Captain and a Class Representative in his high school days, and is currently the Vice-President for operations at the Mumbai chapter of AIESEC, the world’s largest youth-run organisation, all of which have shaped him into a capable and responsible leader. His other experiences which have exposed him to different sorts of realities include a summer internship at a start-up, an international social internship to Russia, participation in various plays and being a part of various cultural societies in college. A management graduate with a marketing major from N.M. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, Lubna is a well-rounded individual and a driven learner who has displayed academic and extracurricular proficiency throughout her student career. Manisha Verma holds BSc. in Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics. She has a keen interest in observing and analyzing real world problems by relating them with economic concepts. She has interned with the National Stock Exchange of India which induced her with interest in financial markets and macroeconomics. In order to explore the socio-developmental space Manisha interned with an NGO based in Bihar and headed their Old Newspaper Project along with other volunteers, in her brief stint at SWATI she was exposed to situations wherein she demonstrated her project management and leadership skills. Having an inquisitive mind, she participated in quiz events in her school days and later organized inter college quiz events during her graduation. Apart from this Manisha is an artist at heart, she sketches and paints; nature, abstractionism and surrealism inspire most of her artworks.
With a degree in economics from Jai Hind College, Mumbai, Mohammed brings a heterogeneous mixture of skills to the table to propel him towards his aim of finding the junction at which policy, diplomacy and data science meet. His stint at TrussBot, an online start-up, saw him get hands-on experience with coding and the start-up environment, helping them in leveraging the power of referrals. In simultaneity with his degree, he has undertaken various journalistic ventures dealing with content of political and economic nature. A debater, he has presided over, participated and won at collectively 13+ national level model United Nations (affiliated to the UNIC) and mock parliaments. He has also written and presented an acclaimed research paper on corporate social responsibility at the international level. When not busy keeping abreast with the latest happenings in politics, economics and technology, he enjoys listening to heavy metal, swimming or reading (with an inclination towards Jungian psychology).
Monica Joshi is an Economics graduate from Ramnarain Ruia College,Mumbai.The world of Finance and Economics excited her since her high school. She interned with CNBC TV18 in Summer 2016 which was a very rewarding experience for her. In the future,she sees herself working as a consultant/investment banker. Monica is fluent in English,Marathi,Hindi and French. She started training in Indian Classical Music since the age of 5 and is now a Sangeet Visharad(graduate level degree in Indian Classical Music).She also represented India in Austria for the Sound Of Music Youth Exchange in Summer 2015 with 22 other nationalities and performed in various parts of Austria. Along with academic excellence, she makes it a point to involve herself in various extracurricular activities. A volunteer with the Akanksha Foundation since November 2015, she has been teaching kids Math and English. She has excellent leadership and communication skills and being a volunteer with Pugmarks Holidays, has led camps of about 40 campers in different parts of India. In her free time she likes to travel, read, swim and play harmonium, synthesizer.
Nayona Banerjee is an economics honours graduate from Christ University with a diverse set of academic and extracurricular endeavours. She has close to a year’s worth of work experience as a Tax Analyst in Ernst and Young. Her stint in diverse project propositions from organizations like Religare and Bhilai Steel Plant has enhanced her ability to apply her academic knowledge to industry skills. Being the festival as well as the marketing head for her university’s national economics festival and securing 1st Position in the economics fest organized by St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai in 2014, Nayona has been at the forefront of a holistic student life. By merging her keen interest in analytical macroeconomics with public policy, she has published one of her many academic writings titled ‘Liquid Gold: An Analysis’ in the economic journal Ephemeris. She has also worked at a grassroots NGO, ‘Muskaan’. She is a voracious reader and a travel enthusiast.
Neeti Yellurkar is an economics graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Her keen interest in research drove her to co-author a paper on taxi aggregators that went on to be published in the college’s accredited academic journal, Arthniti. During her undergraduate years, she had the opportunity to represent the college in several international exchanges in France and Germany that allowed her to work closely with, and learn from students across the world about topics ranging from globalization to political economy. A strong urge to give back to society has led her to take up several volunteering projects, including a 9 month stint as a teacher at a community centre and she pays frequent visits to the animal hospital. Neeti also has working proficiency (level B2) in French and enjoys writing, having taken part in the college’s English and French online journals. She has learnt Hindustani classical music for several years and studies philosophy during her free time.

Priyanka Bhasagare graduated with majors in Economics from Ramnarain Ruia College with her minor subjects being math and statistics. Apart from mainstream academics, she has successfully completed the ‘Advanced Certificate Program for Financial Markets’ from Welingkar Institute, Mumbai. She has also been a part of Rotaract, an internationally renowned NGO, since the past 4 years, holding several important official positions. Before she got into the field of economics, she was a commerce student. She strongly believes that banking is the backbone of the economy. She won the M.C Mahindra Scholorship for her paper titled “A study of migrants in Drought relief Shelter in Ramnagar” and the Geeta Khandelwal Prize for her paper on “Monte Carlo Simulations as a tool of Applied Research in Social Sciences” and “Silent Revolutionaries- A study of Social Status of Women Saints through Abhanga Literature”. She was an organizer in Kaleidoscope-the annual inter-collegiate festival of Sophia College. She completed a Certificate Course in Social Research Methodology. She plays Hindustani Classical violin and loves to travel. Apart from Economics, she enjoys Philosophy and Sociology.
Ritika holds an honors degree in Commerce from Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Delhi University. Her keen interest in understanding and engaging with the world’s most pressing challenges led her to a career path in the social sector. As a Teach for India Fellow, she worked with the teachers and the principal of a government school in an urban slum in Delhi to improve student learning outcomes. The aim was to develop teacher and parent support structures and formulate a school development plan. At The/Nudge Foundation she worked as a Product Manager, wherein she worked on designing a 100 day residential program for youth to give them necessary livelihood and life management skills to pull them out of poverty, sustainably. As a policy research intern at the Central Square Foundation, Ritika analyzed Teacher Evaluation policies in India and around the world. She believes that evaluation, education, innovation and implementation can greatly improve the quality of life for the world’s poorest.
Rutuja holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, where she was awarded the Fredie Mehta Scholarship for best aggregate at the B.A. exams. She was chosen as a young professional under the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program by the Government of Maharashtra. Building on her strong foundation in economics, she worked with senior bureaucrats at the Finance Department of the state government, participating in resource mobilisation and allocation policies. Rutuja was the representative of the female student body and served as a Student Council member at St. Xavier’s. An avid debater, she was conferred the West India Championship of the British Council Debating tournament. She was selected to represent the college at the Europe-Meets-India exchange program in Belgium. Rutuja works with ‘Make a Difference’ to achieve equitable outcomes for children at risk. A chemical engineer by training and an analyst at heart, Saloni has worked with over 13 FMCG companies during her two year stint at Nielsen, a leading market research firm. Her term at Nielsen equipped her with strong analytical skills to drive data-based decisions backed by the ability to manage people and communicate effectively. She developed an interest in economics during her interactions with the stakeholders of these FMCG companies. Saloni is intrigued by the dynamics between international trade, policies, politics and how each aspect of our lives is impacted by them. She aspires to be able to formulate actionable policies and contribute towards building a sustainable society. An opportunist traveller, she enjoys backpacking and adventure excursions. Saloni is also trained in various forms of dance ranging from Indian Classical to Ballroom. On weekends, she devises and conducts skill-development activities for underprivileged children.
Simran is an Economics graduate from University of Mumbai with a minor in English Literature and Commerce. She has been a part of AIESEC, the world’s largest youth run organisation, through which she went on an internship abroad and taught in over 5 schools. She has lead over 3 teams in AIESEC where she over achieved her targets by 15 percent. Her true passion lies in studying International Relations and Public Policy. Furthermore, she is studying Spanish to improve her communication skills. She studies Economics because she realises it is a noble pursuit and necessary to sustain life, but her love for dance, books and fitness is what she thinks is important to stay alive for.
Suraj holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from DG Vaishnav College (Autonomous), Chennai. At his college he was the Secretary of Citizen Consumer Club sponsored by the Department of Civil Supplies, Government of Tamil Nadu. In this role he led the team to organize and conduct various consumer awareness programmes. He was the Cultural Secretary of Manovikas 2017, an Inter-Collegiate cultural Festival. Suraj is a District level Badminton player. He has also won various extra-curricular events like Shipwreck, JAM, Block and Tackle. Swapnil is a Chartered Accountant and a commerce graduate from Mulund College of Commerce. His Articleshipwith Joshi and Karandikar Chartered Accountants gave him insights on the banking sector. His one-year corporate stint at Majesco enhanced his knowledge further and sharpened his personality. In Majesco, he was felicitated with ‘Stellar Award’ for high quality deliverables and exceptional performance.
