Shahana Mukherjee A graduate of Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, and a gold medallist from the Madras School of Economics, Prof. Mukherjee has just completed her PhD from IIM Bangalore. Prof. Mukherjee is a macroeconomist who studies the dynamics of capital flows for emerging and developing economies. Her research captures, measures and describes the myriad effects of capital flows into emerging and developing economies – their effects on credit conditions, productivity, and the like. Shagata Mukherjee A graduate of Presidency College, Kolkata, and JNU, Delhi, Prof. Mukherjee has just completed his PhD at Georgia State University’s Andrew Young School of Policy Studies. Prof. Mukherjee’s main scholarly interests are in development economics, behavioural and experimental economics and public policy. His research analyses borrowing and spending behaviour among recipients of micro-financing and shed new light on the conventional wisdom that women are typically better micro-finance borrowers than men.
