Mr Chaudhary holds an MBA in finance &  marketing, a post graduate in journalism and a graduate degree in economics.

Last week, Mr Chaudhary spent time with the students at the academy. The session was about the challenges, opportunities and expectations a fresher should have in the corporate world. The session was a highly interactive one, with numerous students gaining valuable insights about their respected career paths.

Mr Chaudhary, stated that a young person should be flexible in choosing their career path. Keeping the current market situation in mind, he lay emphasis on being more of a generalist, rather than a specialist, initially. He also suggested choosing a job that we are passionate about and which enhances our analytical skills. He motivated students to look for jobs in areas where they have good scores (Ranked in the top 10), as that not only shows dedication towards that field but also acts as an indication of handling pressure.

Speaking about consulting, he lay emphasis on travelling being a key aspect of the job. He suggested that a person who likes to travel should take sales or HR related career and a coder or finance related job if he/she is a fussy traveller. He further stated that consulting requires problem solving skills by breaking down, analysing and providing efficient solutions to the problem. A landscape of the Consulting space was provided by breaking it down into 3 major domains of being either a project manager, Business developer or a domain expert. We also discussed some nuances in the consulting space currently.

In conclusion, he said that students must develop their vocational and technological skills as the opportunities presented to them are limitless. He believed that if a person’s strength and interest is matched, the person should persuade their career in that field. MDAE students were highly obliged to have him as a speaker.
