Importance of Research

Research is important as it acts as an important tool for building knowledge and learning. It is important for budding and veteran writers. It helps in building public awareness and understand various pressing issues. Research helps people nurture their potential and achieve goals through various opportunities. Research entails both reading and writing. These two functions help enable computation and comprehension. Without these skills, it is less likely for anyone to appreciate and get involved in research. Reading opens the mind to a vast horizon of knowledge, while writing helps a reader use her/his own perspective and transform this into a more concrete idea that she/he understands.

The Student Research Competition has the following benefits:

  • Give undergraduate students the opportunity to share their research ideas that provides visibility for their work.
  • Give students the opportunity to meet and interact with attendees to share new ideas, gain insights and understand possible practical applications.
  • Give students an opportunity to sharpen their writing and communication skills.
  • Provide detailed feedback to students about their research and presentation from a panel of distinguished judges from industry and academia.
  • Recognize and reward outstanding student research.
